This will also be your time to start learning how to care for your new pool. Construction dirt will always be entering the water until final landscaping is finished. We will provide “construction cleans” once the water is clear to remove large debris and rocks but it will take quite some time to get the pool perfect and filter out fine construction dust.

We of course are always available for questions but PLEASE take the time to read through this Credible Pool owner’s manual, bookmark this page, and you will find almost all your questions answered! This information also applies to a new system/filter/salt generator we may have installed for you. People often want an in person tutorial which we are happy to do, but if you have never owned a pool, it can be overwheming. The purpose of this online manual is for our new pool customers to begin learning general concepts to make caring for your pool as easy as possible. Now take into account the price you pay per pound or per gallon depending on the form/s of chlorine you use.OUR INGROUND POOLS ARE DESIGNED FOR MINIMAL EFFORT AND MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT HOWEVER… You might just be shocked at what you’re dumping in your water, and the money you’re wasting. It’s important you know about the chlorine you use to sanitize your pool. The deal you get at a discount store might not be a deal at all. The Salt & Swim 3C salt cell produces a ton of 100% pure available chlorine – literally. Step 5: Reactivate system and check salt content, call Hayward if problems persist. Step 4: Reinstall the cell into the plumbing by threading the unions back onto the cell, be sure to make these connections only hand tight, just tight enough to allow the o-rings to seal tight enough to prevent leaking. WARNING: Hayward strongly advises anyone cleaning the cell in this manner use protective clothing and proper eye protection when working with acid – also, always add acid to water, not water to acid!!!

Once done, rinse the cell off with a garden hose. This will begin to fizz, leave the cell in this solution until the fizzing subsides, usually 5-15 minutes depending on how calcified the cell may be.

If the cell needs more cleaning then just scraping, submerge the entire PVC portion of the cell into 3 parts water and 1 part murriatic acid. If present, you can either use anything NON METALLIC – wood or plastic is the safest as it should be soft enough to avoid scratching the plates, yet strong enough to break up minor deposits. Step 3: Once the cell is removed from the plumbing, look down the center at the series of plates to see if there is a white chalky build up (calcium deposits). If the unions are too tight, a strap wrench may be useful as it gives a better grip yet won’t damage the cell housing or unions. Step 2: Loosen the unions on each end of the cell, they should only be hand tight.

Step 1: Deactivate the pool pump to stop water flow.
